Dynamic Stress CT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (CT-MPI): What is the Present and Future role of Stress Computed Tomography in Clinical Practice?

Clinical Case
Patient: Male, 70 years old
Presentation: The patient presented with exertional chest discomfort for the past two months, progressively worsening. He reported episodes of chest tightness occurring after walking one block or climbing a single flight of stairs. There was no history of syncope or palpitations.
Investigations:
- Stress CT: Large Perfusion Defect involving the Septo-inferior and Posterior walls
- Coronary angiography: Severe stenosis in the proximal LAD and mid RCA
Management:
The patient underwent successful percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with stenting of the LAD and RCA lesions.
